ArvaShip is a positioning system dedicated to dredging ships based on the presence of three GPS. ArvaShip displays ship’s position referring to a project plan. A typical application is a dam construction at open sea. One GPS has a double antenna and broadcasts ship’s steering. The second GPS, placed on ship’s crane, displays the crane’s hook real time height and position on the project plan. A third GPS, also mounted on the crane, gives its direction. This advanced solution gives the captain the possibility to know the real time certain positioning and steering of the ship affording him to work in sync with the wired-crane.
Ship dedicated software shows at the same time its positioning in the sea in referring to the project plan and the position of the crane’s hook respect of the ship; it’s customizable and it permits to load project files in AUTOCAD: DWG,DXF. Also wired-crane dedicated software gives its positioning referring the project plan and is also customizable.

The main components are:- Two industrial ARVApc with touch screen 8,4", high brightness display, integrated GPS receiver HP Omnistar (10 cm), or RTK (2 cm). Level of protection: shock and breakage, IP 65
- Third GPS receiver WAAS/EGNOS with crane directional function
- Operative System Windows XP Embedded with customizable software ArvaShip
- GPS with double antenna for ship direction
- Communication system with radio modem between the two ArvaPC
